Before packing, we recommend checking the local weather reports to ensure you pack the right clothing for the conditions. Check local weather.
What to Bring:
Cycling kit:
Make sure all your gear is ride-tested before the trip to prevent any rubbing, blisters or sores.
10-20L day pack (optional with waterproof cover)
Sturdy shoes - hiking trainers or trail shoes
Padded bike shorts
Cycling gloves (preferably long fingered)
Cycling helmet (optional - helmets are supplied but feel free to bring your own)
A range of lightweight, breathable layers that can be easily added or removed depending on how hot you get:
Quick dry t-shirts or cycling jerseys
Long sleeve lightweight t-shirts for sun protection
Lightweight fleece or mid-layer
Summer hiking trousers or sports leggings/shorts
A selection of socks
Sunglasses
Buff
A breathable, waterproof and windproof shell jacket
Waterproof trousers - optional but very useful in case of rain, wind or cold weather.
Off the bike:
Casual evening clothes
A light packable insulated / down jacket or fleece for evenings at altitude
Sun hat / cap
Warm hat & gloves (if can get cold in the evening in the mountains)
Swimwear (for the spa)
Night wear
Toiletries
Any prescription medication
Compeed or moleskin for blisters, just in case!
Other medication e.g. paracetamol/ibuprofen, Magnesium
Electrolytes
Sandals / crocs / trainers for the hotel
Other Stuff:
Headtorch
Sunscreen (high factor) and SPF lip salve
Quick dry towel
Camera
Dry bags for inside your day pack to keep stuff dry
Snacks
Water bottle or hydration pack (at least 2 litres total)
Small laundry soap (for washing bike clothes if needed)
Power bank (optional)
Insect repellent
Binoculars (optional but useful if you like wildlife)
